Stephenville UFO Sightings Spring up again in 2009

Posted by dandare on February 3, 2009

Matt Collins, who lives near Walnut Springs (on the North Side), kindly alerted me to a sighting, which was aired on channel33 (the 33tv.com), and which warrants investigation.

This can be seen on you tube below:

This is not a bad tv report, but it’s a shame that more was not seen of the actual ufo.

Matt has written an account at iWitness Writers (part of  KWTX.COM) ” Possible UFO sighting in Stephenville ”

At about 7:15pm this evening on the horizon in the North West, there they were 3 hovering bright red lights.

Nothing like I have ever seen.

They would sporadically appear and disappear in different locations in the same part of the sky ” (extract from article). I also noted in the comments section below this, that others also had ufo sightings.

For instance Rogena mentioned, “I too, saw several red lights in a row, slowly moving South to North. I am south of Cisco and would place the objects (during my sighting on Jan. 30, 09, between 7:20 to 7:25 p.m.), to have been possibly North of the Dublin area. I have made a report to MUFON.com “.

Another guy Jonathan ” I have seen these lights a few times around the area. This is no joke. There is some reason why they are choosing this area of Central Texas to visit. I never believed in UFO’s until I saw one near Clairette about 4 months ago that I reported to MUFON“.

Angelia Joiner has also posted ” Mysterious objects reported in skies ” (febuary 2nd, 2009).

Matt said the object appeared about 25 to 30 degrees off the horizon in the northwest sky toward Stephenville. He said he could definitely see a dark mass between the sets of lights.

“I’m not sure how close or far away it was,” Matt said. “It could have been over Chalk Mountain. But, it was definitely in the direction of Stephenville.”

Then on Saturday it was back. This time it was about 9:30 p.m., shortly after Matt appeared on the WB 33 (KDAF-TV of Dallas/Fort Worth) news discussing the sighting he had witnessed two nights before” (extract from article). It also mentions other individual witnesses; it beggers the question, how many more saw it, and didnt report or mention it to anyone; or other sightings on other nights?

ufo-online-soapFor now, it is a UFO (that’s Unidentified Flying Object), clear and simple; however  a secret military Installation is nearby (link to an article i wrote a while back) and could hold an answer to the UFO?

Thanks to Matt, this has come to the attention of us all, and i wish him good luck with any new sightings.

I live in Stephenville and witnessed the most incredible display of extraterresteral lights on Nov18,08 sw of sville. These were not military flares. Only flashed on for app. 15 seconds. Numerous people saw them. What does one do after you see a real ufo? We did not report to authorities because there is nothing they could do. Last Thur night (Feb 5)numerous people saw the same lights. There has been a lot of lost sleep by people trying to figure out what they saw. I THINK I am anxious to find out their origination.

    Thanks for your comments, Fred.
Please send a report to http://www.mufon.com/reportufo.htm (this is the online version). It is well worth it, as data can be compiled.
You are right about the authorities.
Do you happen to know any of the other witnesses? would they be willing to report this to MUFON as well; or even try to get them to add a comment here.

Did anyone else see these lights?
By definition this would still be UFOs (unidentified flying objects).

Following is a brief description regarding an event I witnessed on Feb. 5, 2009. My location during this incident was approximately 12 miles west of DeLeon, TX, and I was driving due east about 7:10 P.M. The incident involved a very large, yellow light and 3 subsets of smaller lights. The large light was perhaps 4 times larger than the evening star-Venus that is currently visible. The large light was visible for about 15 minutes before it faded away completely. After I initially and constantly observed the large light for about 10 minutes, three series of smaller lights began to turn on in sets of about 7 lights per set. These smaller lights turned on at a rate of about one per second until all 7 were lighted for about 2-3 seconds; then the entire set of lights would turn off simultaneously. This activity occurred 3 different times. The 3 separate sets of lights were turned on about 5, 10, and 15 degrees north of the large light.
