On this Day, 12 years ago …. The ‘Pheonix Lights’.

Posted by dandare on March 13, 2009

phoenix19971As reported by the KTAR.com ” Twelve years later, debate continues over ‘Pheonix lights’ ”  (posted 13th march, 2009). It mentions

The lights were reported March 13, 1997, during a three-hour period, between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. in a space of about 300 miles, from the Nevada-Arizona line, through Phoenix, to the edge of Tucson. There were two distinct events — a triangular formation of lights seen to pass over Arizona and a series of stationary lights seen in the Phoenix area ” (extract from article).

Below i have added links and videos to this event: There were those that believe that the phenomena was of alien design, those who believed that they were military flares; others who believed they were a stealth blimp. Will we ever find out what they really were ?

For an interesting report on the Pheonix Lights please see  NUFORC.org

At approximately 6:55 p.m. (Pacific) on Thursday, March 13, 1997, a young man in Henderson, Nevada, reportedly witnessed a V-shaped object, with six large lights on its leading edge, approach his position from the northwest and pass overhead.  In his subsequent written report to the National UFO Reporting Center, he described it as appearing to be quite large, approximately the “size of a (Boeing) 747”, and said that it generated a sound which he equated to that of “rushing wind.”  It continued on a straight line toward the southeast and disappeared from his view over the horizon.

This sighting is perhaps the earliest of a complex series of events that would take place during the next 2-3 hours over the states of Nevada, Arizona, and possibly New Mexico, and which would quickly become known as the “Phoenix Lights” sightings.  It involved sightings by tens, or perhaps even hundreds, of thousands of witnesses on the ground, and it gave rise to a storm of controversy over what had caused the event ” (extract from article).

phoenixlights1997modelAlso a very informative article entitled:

by Bruce Maccabee, originally posted Sept. 30, 1998; updated to March, 2002 can be seen here ….in which he believes they were flares?

one large article against flares and other usual suspects (ie swamp gas, meteors, ect) being the cause, is steve Lantz  in “The Pheonix Lights…. Debunking the Debunkers“.

Also see Wikipedia here , The Why Files here

and also UFO Evidence here for a wealth of links and information.

Please also see my archived posts on the pheonix lights (with videos) at:

(extract from december 2007 post )

To start off with, we have discovery channel’s UFOs over Pheonix: Video analysts Examine a UFO sighting at:

(30’ish minutes long).

For the UFO seen at Pheonix in 2008 please see my post here

Please feel free to leave comments.

What do you believe was in the sky? do military flares answer the mystery? what else could it be?

UFO websites worthy of a visit

Posted by dandare on March 6, 2009

There is a wealth of websites, blogs and articles out there, on the subject of UFOs and Ufology, and quite a few are ill informed, spread disinformation, or are completely inaccurate.

I would like to point you to places i frequently go to for UFO information, and hope that you can find time to visit as well.

Majestic 12 has links to document sources, some witnesses, documentary authentication for some of the reports and other links. Recently, the authentication was put into question.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The full condign report can be found here (on the MOD site, 32 files).

Blue Book Archive this is where you can view project blue book on the internet. A valuable resource, it is still ongoing….  it has uncensored microfilm releases, download facility for reports and information about the documents (at this time 10 rolls of film, that are uncensored have been made available).

The Tornado case (1990) an audio cassette recording between British pilots and Dutch military air traffic control.

The Magoniax Project : “Archiving centuries of Fortean phenomena” including UFO related documentation.

Roswell proof up to date information on Roswell, with any new information added to the site.

CIA Freedom of information Act web results for UFO/flying saucer…. see here (242 results). Also here (43 results).

MOD: on UFO documents <–from 2005 for instance Part one. (it frequently changes the website, so links need finding every so often, to keep up to date). Part 2 can be found here and lastly part 3 here . Also Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP) can be found here .

Updated information concerning UFO reports made to the British
Ministry of Defence in 1998 – 2006,  has been added to their website……please  see here .

The Black Vault has a wealth of documents you can download here .

Whilst doing my usual rounds of my favorite linked sites, i came across this post by dbreckenridge at the footnote.com site, entitled “UFO in Utah, Comic book style” . It is in relation to the sighting of 1952, which was produced in a comic style, to portray the sighting. Another interesting post can be found here .

Other entries on UFOs from footnote.com can be found here .

A handy link to Area 51 (groom lake), from FAS (Federation of American Scientists): http://www.fas.org/irp/overhead/groom.htm

It goes into detail about the imagery available, an overview of the area, handy links to other sites (some now are not working), and images of Area 51 through the years, near the bottom of the article.

It seems to have been written in 2000, but still handy for anyone interested in this topic. Imagery of groom lake can be seen here .

In the article “Free: more than 1 million images from US Revolution to UFOs“, it gives a long list of documents available for free; what we are interested in is Project blue book – Ufo investigations (1947-1969). On this post, some people have already done some work, and posted interesting documents for us to view.

It also has related titles, and a free example list; the source for this is the national Archives . After putting in project blue book into the search engine, i saw a long list of references here & here .Both project blue book and “project blue book” were put in to the search engine-obviously more search terms will be done at a later date.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, here are some fascinating links to references we can see. This includes examples/story entries from footnote members themselves.

ARC results (for reference numbers)

Project Blue Book 1947-1969 click on document on the right to view it like this here. this whole document is worth looking at.

Footnote search for ufos A vast amount of references (over 2,014 in total) and you can look through the documents of these sightings-****worth looking at.

The  spotlight feature on footnote, mentions “X-15 test pilot Joe Walker on record setting flight (past UFOs)“. Also “ufo or photographic anomaly?”, “30 people in Sherman Texas can’t be wrong“… there are others… all these again relate to real documents, that can be seen online.

NICAP (National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena), has a wealth of information on UFOs, and is an excellent site.

CUFON (The Computer UFO Network) who “…..strive to present material relating to UFO phenomena and the search for UFO-related government documents obtained through official channels in a fair and accurate manner” (extract from webpage). Of great interest is the link to verified documents and other documents. In the special reports link, there is a good link to reading available. An article on “Do nuclear facilities attract ufos?”  is worth looking at too.

MUFON (Mutual UFO Network), also is great for ufo insights/knowledge; articles on Famous UFO cases, UFO weather maps and UFO fast facts too name but a few things on this  site.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

CUFOS (Centre for UFO Studies) “ >The Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS) is an international group of scientists, academics, investigators, and volunteers dedicated to the continuing examination and analysis of the UFO phenomenon”. Many articles can be found here. My favourites are “we know where you live?” and government ufo documents on the internet .

NUFORC (National UFO Reporting Centre). I usually refer to the Latest ufo reports for information- very handy; there of course, is other good links on this site.

bufora UFO information, mainly to do with Europe…not kept up to date; quite a few ufologists do not hold favour with the organisation, and i can see their point of view.

Stanton Friedman used to be a nuclear physicist, but became very interested in UFO’s from 1958. Goes into great detail about why he believes UFO’s are visiting earth, but covers other areas as well.

aliencasebook.blogspot.com, aliencasebookfringe.blogspot.com, are both by Atrueoriginall… an excellent up to date resource. Also has forums that you can visit.

ufodna.com is also an excellent resource for UFO information….

For instance, i was searching for Fort Worth, Texas sightings…… at this sight, you can go to the alphabetical listing, and this is what i found here . Admittedly you have to scroll down a long way…. but there are entries from 1897 up until 2005 (i think it only goes up to 2006). It also has a google map location for it (if you click on the individual sightings in the list), but must only be used as a general guide, as each different sighting points to the same spot.

It also has other invaluable data/information; for instance “UFOs like lonely places” and ” the quality of UFO report data

Flying saurcery….presents The Real UFO Project . A great collection of information from the UK; loads of information here.

Hyper.net has an absolute wealth of knowledge on the subject, and is excellent.

UFO shapes and configurations can be found here .

nick redfern’s blog sites; definately worth searching on….some great stuff here.

Nick Pope used to be in the British Government’s UFO project, within the MOD.

Frank warren’s blog: excellent for up to date news, and for good articles on older matters.

UFO Review for up to date ufo news.

ufo’s at about.com with different links and info

The Anomalies Network for information on the Men in Black

Useful Astronomy sites:

Space Weather Support at  Solar Terrestrial Dispatch . This has links to an aurora monitor. For instance, an hourly activity report here , astro alerts, global flare reports and so on….. useful to know whats up there.

Heavens Above a vital resource if you need to know what is in the sky…ie sateillites, ect. Can give you all sorts of data, from almost any town/city.

Free to read….. Online UFO books:

NICAP (National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena), have placed authorized full length versions of books, online for everyone to read for free. They are not up to date books, but are worth reading (admitedly i have only read a few, but glancing through the rest, they look interesting . The link to them is here ) .

The books are:

“Alfred Loedding and the great flying saucer wave of 1947″ (by Michael hall and Wendy connors)

“The flying saucers are real” (by Donald Keyhoe ) 1950

“Symposium on Unidentified flying objects” second session 1968 (by various)

“Regional encounters : The FC files  acentury of ufo sightings and close encounters in the midwest” (director : francis ridge) 1994

“Report on the ufo wave of 1947″ (ted bloecher) 1967

“Flying saucers : fact or fiction” (Max Miller) 1957, i think

“The report on Unidentified Flying objects” (Edward Ruppelt) 1956?

“The ufo evidence” 1965 (published by NICAP)

“Ufos: a new look” a special report  by NICAP (1969)

“ufology” by James McCampbell (/)

“Inside saucer post 3-0 blue” a summary report by Leonard Stringfield (1957)

other resources that might be of interest.

Cohenufo.org has an article called “MSNBC Article re NIDS reassessment of triangular UFO sightings” (2004).

The same site also has Author’s select cases (table of contents, including Belgium UFO flap 1989-90, Brazilian Air Force admits studying UFOs (2005) and the Rockefellar report among others ).

Stardrive.org  ” UFOs and the new physics ” (1995 article).

Nick Humphries ” The UFO guide ” (feb 1994 ).

Stanton Friedman ” A review of Col. Philip J. Corso’s book ‘the day after Roswell ‘ ” (article, december 1997). His other articles can be seen here .

Richard M. Dolan ” Some thoughts on J. Allen Hynek ” (2002).

Also by Dolan ” Alien Essays ” there are loads of links to his articles.

Wilbert B. Smith ” The New science

NCAS.org ” Project Condon cases 1 -10 ” NCAS.org ” Project Condon 11-45

NCAS.org ” The Condon report

Don Berliner ” UFO briefing document – the best evidence ” (1995).

Edward Ruppelt ” The report on Unidentified Flying objects ” (book, 1956).

W.A. Harbinson wrote a book in 1995, entitled “Projekt UFO: The case for Man-made Flying Saucers”. I remember, it had some well thought arguments, that basically, there is a ruthless technology right here on earth, and the scenario is definately something that people should be aware of, if not necessarily agree on.

For the record, there is some parts of this book, that i do not agree with, but it does get your mind thinking, questioning and so on, and this can only be a good thing.

His website can be found here

The second volume to this, Pheonix: Projekt Saucer Book 2″ is available for free…. at the download page on his site.

This is just a guide to just some of the most reliable websites on the internet…… i will be updating this list on the  UFO LINKS page, when i have time to do so- there are many more worthy of a mention here, but as i have said they will be added constantly to the UFO LINKS page on this site.

I hope some of these websites, find you wanting to know more  about UFO’s, if you are wondering were to get the information. (website links will be updated soon, on the UFO links page, as there are more sites worthy of a mention, that have not been mentioned at all).

Please feel free to comment.

Uk UFO sightings – September 2008 [ more articles to be added ]

Posted by dandare on September 29, 2008

i will try and keep this up to date, with all information from the UK.

Please check back from time to time, as this will be updated regularly…If you see something that i have missed, please contact me (thanks).….

There has been an explosion of UK UFO activity, after the MOD released its UFO archive, and this might account for the media clamouring for our attention (how much of it is fact, is frankly anyone’s guess), and also the public looking at the sky more than normal. In september, this seems to have died down a bit now.

Many of the sightings are sensationalised, with usually alot of information missing.

Please keep this in mind as you view these postings from the local and national press.

I’m afraid many also fail to follow up on their initial leads, and many reports just remain forgotten.

Some incidents could be UFO balloons (please see:  https://dandare.wordpress.com/2007/05/19/ufo-balloons-what-are-they/ for more details, from a previous article).

However, as i have said before, i am not sure what value they are to any UFO research.

I’m afraid many also fail to follow up on their initial leads, and many reports just remain forgotten.

The incident, which has baffled and haunted Turner for decades, took place at RAF Sopley on the south-west coast of England in the summer of 1971.At the time he was Duty Military Supervisor and had the responsibility of monitoring the skies on radar screens for potential Soviet incursions…..[.]..

He said: “I can clearly remember people shouting: ‘What the hell is that?’ I got to a console and people were loudly telling me to look to the east of Salisbury Plain.”Twenty miles east of the eastern extremity was a series of returns, or radar blips, which were appearing in that position. There were five of them initially. Then six and then seven all following the same track.
“They were tracking south-east, each exactly six to seven miles apart and moving at exactly the same speed. At about 40 miles from the point they appeared on radar, they disappeared, to be followed almost immediately by a replacement at the point of origin.
“The objects were about 3,000ft above ground level when they first appeared and climbed so rapidly that, by the time they disappeared from radar they were in excess of 60,000ft.
“To climb to such a height in only 40 miles was beyond the ability of almost any fighter aircraft at that time.”In a bid to solve the mystery Turner diverted an RAF Canberra jet, which was returning from West Germany, to intercept the intruders.
“When the pilot got within a mile or so of one particular blip, he reported, in a very agitated voice, that his radar had picked up something on his port side that was ‘climbing like the clappers’. Neither the pilot nor his navigator made any visual contact with whatever it was.”

Within days, Turner was summoned into the Squadron Leader’s office and questioned by two men, who wore civilian clothes and were not identified, about the incident ” (extracts from article).

MORE strange lights have been reported over the Scarborough and Robin Hoood’s Bay area and the sightings are becoming so frequent that UFO hunters are planning to set up permanent cameras to keep a close watch on the night skies.

Louth Leader ” BUFORA offer possible explanation for orange lights UFOs

We contacted BUFORA’s chairman Robert Rosamond for his expert opinion and an update on the current increase in UFO activity around the UK, he said: “We have received quite a number of sighting reports recently – some including images that would suggest a curious increase in national UFO activity.
“I have to state from the outset, that an inordinate number of these reports are suspiciously similar to the Chinese lantern profile, both in colour and in their behaviour patterns.
“It is perhaps worth pointing out to the uninitiated that a column of lanterns are often tethered, and as such appear to fly across the night sky in a controlled ‘line astern’ and thus uniform formation
” (extract from article).

Metro.co.uk ” Is this really a UFO ? “

Andrew Baskeyfield spotted the unexplained ball of light circling above his home in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, at about 7:30pm Monday night.

The bright white dot, which was still visible in daylight against the blue cloudy sky, is simultaneously seen dancing around the screen of three separate mobile phones belonging to the 23-year-old, his father and older brother ” (extract from article).

The Shields Gazette ” Could this explain the UFO mystery

One man handed the Gazette a video of wedding guests in Whitburn sending up mini hot-air balloons into the sky.

After the 100 mini balloons were ignited, they floated off into the night ” (extract from article).

Wigan Today ” Odd-shaped UFO spotted

“It was a slightly overcast evening and the clouds were grey when I saw six very dark objects in very close formation.”They were like rubber balls and they were very close together in a circle.
“My son was with me and we both had a look through our binoculars.

The objects were turning towards the Downhall Green area and were in sight for a good five minutes below the line of the clouds.”They were very slow-moving but it definitely wasn’t balloons and after
observing them for some time they just seemed to vanish from sight.”
…[.]…In a separate incident, a man from Billinge e-mailed the Reporter on the subject of UFOs.

Bedford today ” Crop circle amazes the world

Andy Fazekas, president of Luton Paranormal Society, said his group had investigated a number of crop circles over the years. He said: ‘Barton has recently been the centre of UFO activity and it could be linked to the new crop circle. However it would appear the evidence is limited as no-one actually saw who made the crop circle.’
Despite this Andy felt it was more likely that the circle was man-made. He said: ‘What we are aware of is that within Luton and the surrounding areas there are a number of people who believe that crop circles are an attempt by aliens trying to talk to us and our group would welcome anyone with an interest in crop circles to contact us further about this
” (extract from article).

New UK UFO magazine due out in September 2008

Posted by dandare on June 28, 2008

Steve Gerrard has kindly sent an e-mail, giving details of a new UK UFO magazine, that is due to be published in September, 2008. Steve closed the Southampton UFO group in january 2008, after 18 years (it looked into sightings from Hampshire). At the time, he was also the editor of the groups magazine.

He has now taken the bold move, to produce a new magazine independantly of any UFO group.

It is to be named UFONEWS UK, and will be a quarterly publication (with around 40 pages, and in colour).

His aim ” The magazine I hope is to be a mouth for British UFOlogy and researchers. British UFOlogy has been on a steady downwards slope for many a year with group in fighting, groups just folding after a year or so and groups just DON’T want to exchange information and sometimes you have more chance of getting blood out of a stone.

So, I will be inviting all UFO groups and UFO researchers to send in articles, reviews, reports etc that can be shared amongst all Researchers and all of those people interested in the subject. This is not a money making venture and I am going to keep the costs down to a minimum.

So, to start with, Advertising in the magazine will only be £30.00 for an A4 page for 4 issues (As apposed to £100.00+ in other UK UFO Magazines). The price for a half page will be £15.00 for 4 issues and a quarter page £10.00 for 4 issues. I am also introducing a section for letters, items for sale, pen friends etc for £0.25p a word.

For this to succeed, I will ned the help of all UFO Researchers and UFO Groups to contriubute and join the venture. Am I mad?.. Probably, Shortsighted? Definite… But I feel like taking the Bull by the horn. If the venture is not supported and I should known by the end of 12 months, then another British UFO publication will bite the dust yet again ” (i hope steve does not mind, but the quoted text is direct from his e-mail).

This is good news, and i wish him well…. thanks for the information. I hope we all, will find time to help and support his new venture.

Interesting information from NARCAP/fotocat on UFO’s

Posted by dandare on June 7, 2008

NARCAP has a very interesting preliminary report “UAP imaged from aircraft” (this is an ongoing situation), and therefore it is probably worth bookmarking/saving this, and coming back at intervals to see any updates.

Also please see fotocat for more information here . Interesting stuff indeed. There are some large documents that you can download… for instance FOTOCAP report Number 4 (first catalogue) has a final report on Norwegian UFO photo’s.

In fact fotocat has a wealth of information on its homepage…. its aim is to collect world wide UFO photo events; Its ultimate aim is to have a full catalogue on the internet, for all too see.

It also has other material such as links to:

National UFO Reporting Centre = a wealth of UFO information

Posted by dandare on April 8, 2008

I just thought, i would draw your attention to the National UFO Reporting Centre, and the wealth of information it has on its site….. For instance the case briefs and past highlights is definately worth a look, with many sightings looked at with diagrams, and links to either full reports or articles on each case. This post can be seen here .

Another post “most noteworthy cases” is also worth a look… they also have a link to an article on the Iran “dogfight” in 1976 seen here .

The sight has other good links too.

Isaac/Chad/CARET/california drones…what is going on? (part 1)

Posted by dandare on March 29, 2008

I admit, that at first, i just brushed all this under the carpet (although my thoughts on what they are, has not changed), and did not really take much notice of it all. Now with the recent La times article, of 2 detectives searching for answers, i thought i would attempt to look at it myself, in more detail.

I would like to thank these forums for interesting information, and thoughts on the matter…. these are: abovetopsecret.com, unexplained-mysteries.com, unifiction.com, open minds forum… For websites: i have consulted many for more information, ect (i will try and add all of them at the end of this post).

The first reports of the drone, was in may 2007; it appeared first, On the coast to coast website, the report appeared here—–> http://www.coasttocoastam.com/gen/page2022.html?theme=light . Also witness account there too.

Submitted May 1oth, 2007

Location, central valley of California. Later found to be Bakersfield? california.

Report date: (from camera) May 6th

But Chad reported it as being seen as early as April 2007 (on numerous occassions). See below for the photos:

I will just comment here, my first reaction to these photos…..

  1. we get a full array of profiles…close, distant (at slightely different angles)
  2. All very sharp, almost too good
  3. What are those black marks around (and close to) the drone, you can see in most of them? to me it looks suspiscious?

At this point, i will add the link from MUFON, as it argues this is a fake  http://www.hyper.net/ufo/vs/m05-001.html  with an interesting argument; also analyists check the photos supplied.

These photos were scans of the original…..

Also, there has been a comparison made, with the Chad photos, to an incident in Devon (england) in 1967 (26th october, in South Devon)….did ‘Chad’ get some of his ideas from this?….. see below for video.

For a report on the incident see http://www.ufologie.net/htm/dorset67.htm and   http://www.project1947.com/shg/hennessey/ufoinv4-4.htm (with diagrams)…thanks to http://www.hyper.net/ufo.html for making this information aware to me, on the website.

 Second sighting:

Location: Lake Tahoe, nevada

Posted by MUFON 7013

Date of event: 5th may, 2007

Images taken on cell phone

2 photos were placed on MUFON, on 12nd May,2008 and then slightly later at UFO casebook.com at http://www.ufocasebook.com/strangecraftlaketahoe.html (see link for details).

The first time Rajinder Satyanarayana (Rajman 1977) is mentioned is on craigslist, on the 20th may, 2007. He writes “Bizarre thing in the sky in capitola, CA ….WTF is this (capitola)”. He gives us 6 photos to look at; his name is quickly removed from craigslist, so he adds his name as Rajman1977, on a flickr account, with the photos from before….. account soon hacked though.

He alleged the event took place on the 16th may, 2007

Camera used: Konica Minolta DiMAGE X

The one we are most interested with here, is the one below (again we have near and very close shots as well).

One of the photos (seen above), is the one that the two detectives are now (in 2008) trying to trace, ie the telegraph poles location….. what i do not understand is why only the one photo…. if these draw a blank, should they not look for other clues, in the other photos, from ‘chad’ and others?

(the photo illustration above, is one of several noted in the ufocasebook forum; it brings up some interesting problems with the photo). This, and many more problems/discussions will be written about much more fully in (part 2).

Next we have the big basin sighting, (california)

Submitted on the 6th june 2007 ….. by Jenna L (a freelance photographer) on behalf of Stephen… although again much later, there is a debate to suggest this is not the true location at all.

Report date: 5th june 2007

Camera: Cannon Rebel XT

There were 3 photographs….. see http://ufocasebook.com/bigbasin.html for more details

Slightly later reported, but with the same reported sighting date: Big basin, california

Submitted on 16th june 2007 by someone called TY

Reported date: june 5th, 2007 (same as one above)

Sent to earthfiles.com ……. unfortunately as this is subscription based (for the archive), and i am not a member, i cannot access it.

I know there are 12 photographs, and i do have a link/photos to this but have misplaced it…. will add when found.

Isaac + the CARET documents  (posted on the internet in june 2007)

CARET = Commercial Applications Research for Extraterrastrial Report   pacl-q486-report-cover-fullsize.jpg

The CARET laboratory is in Palo Alto, CA (Isaac there from 1984-1987)

He was recruited for the CARET program.

Both an engineer  + computer scientist

the drone

  • uses invisibility
  • Interference (not from humans) caused invisibilty to become inoperative
  • Technology= antigravity
  • symbols = software programs that self executed as a functional blueprint

Before Isaac resigned and became a ‘whistleblower’ – he managed to take out documents; these were

Q3 – 85 inventory review pacl-q385-inventory-review-fullsizes.jpg

Q4 – 86 Research report 180px-pacl-q486-photo-4-fullsize.jpg  180px-pacl-q486-photo-3-fullsize.jpg

He was concerned about safety if who he was, was known

He made it common knowledge that main source of information was to be spread through coast to coast website

This is just a rough outline of CARET and ‘Isaac’. His website can still be seen at http://isaaccaret.fortunecity.com

So a quick recap to the 5 main sightings:

  1. chad – may 10th 2007    Bakersfield, california
  2. MUFON submitter 7013 wife – may 12th 2007   Lake Tahoe, Nevada
  3. Rajinder Satyanarayana (Flickr acccount name Rajman 1977) – may 20th 2007   Capitola, california
  4. Jenna L on behalf of Stephen – june 6th   Big Basin, california
  5. Ty – june 16th big basin, california

Actual sightings occurred on

  1. may 6th 2007
  2. may 5th 2007
  3. may 16th 2007
  4. june 5th 2007
  5. june 5th 2007

There are also allegedly other sightings going as far back as 1995? but i have not referred to them for this analysis… this can be seen at earthfiles.com

This covers part 0ne……. and is really a quick outline about the drone sightings, without going into too much detail. In part 2, i will be covering the problems/analysis/discussing the drones sightings/photos/CARET documents in more detail….

After renewed interest in california drones….. report of sightings + analysis..coming soon

Posted by dandare on March 27, 2008

After recent renewed interest in the california drones, seen in articles:

UFO reports draws national attention to Capitola” (mercurynews.com- 27th march, 2008)

UFO Investigation centres on Capitola” (Kcra.com- 26th march, 2008)

A UFO cold case“ (posted 18th march,2008….latimes.com)

A similar article can be seen at upi.com “detectives seek ufo answers” (posted 18th march,2008).

And also from comments in UFO Update (34), i have decided to attempt to put together all the sightings, and analysis the drones, plus the Isaac paperwork. This will be in 2 parts (first part – the sightings themselves…. second part – the analysis and possible answers to the drone effect).

However, due to time constraints, i am not quite sure when they will be available…. although i have got through quite a bit of what will make up part 1. I would be glad of any input, and  welcome your comments.

Did you see the Pheonix lights nearly 11 years ago

Posted by dandare on March 13, 2008

From ABC15.com (posted 13th march,2008) for original post see here ; the full article is posted below.

“It’s been over a decade since thousands of Valley residents reported a strange grouping of lights in the Arizona night sky.

Thursday marks the 11th anniversary of the “Phoenix Lights”.

It’s a phenomena that continues to draw questions from people around the world.

The lights of different descriptions were seen on the night of March 13th, 1997.

Some said they saw a triangular formation pass over their homes. Others saw a series of stationary lights in a long line.

The United States Air Force later identified the lights as flares from the Barry Goldwater Range, but many continue to believe differently.

Even former Arizona Governor Fife Symington reported seeing the lights, describing his encounter as a huge carpenter-square object moving over Phoenix.

Did you see the lights nearly 11 years ago? We want to hear from you. Email us your story at YouNews@abc15.com

We’ll share some of your stories Thursday morning starting at 5 a.m. on ABC15 Daybreak.

We’ll then look back at the Phoenix Lights, and try to answer some unexplained questions, Thursday at 10 p.m. on ABC15 News”.

Googled UFO image in Australia! what is it?

Posted by dandare on February 2, 2008

There is always merit, in checking your records/information, as this post will prove.

Some eager person spotted a triangular shaped image on the google map from Australia!

axcessnews.com mentions in “Mystery behind Australia UFO photos

“If you take a good look at this image of the supposed Australia UFO sighting you can clearly see a shadow near the center, which is marked so you can spot it. See how the shadow leans out to the left? That’s because its a radio tower for the Emu Downs Wind Park near Badgingarra National Park.

Clive Marks, Director of the Nocturnal Wildlife Research Party Ltd from East Malvern, Victoria Australia wrote: [I am surprised that this image keeps doing the rounds as a UFO. It is a remote area antenna facility – as far as I know there has never been any mystery about it. The area has been cleared and leveled and the bright areas at the apex are just solar reflection due to soil disturbance” (extract from article).

Therefore, it proves that not all you see, is in reality what it is.
