World UFO sightings December 2012 [part 2 of 2]

Many of the sightings reported are sensationalized, with usually a lot of information missing.

Please keep this in mind as you view these postings from the local and national press.

I’m afraid many also fail to follow-up on their initial leads, and many reports just remain forgotten.

Some incidents could be UFO balloons (please see:  https://dandare.wordpress.com/2007/05/19/ufo-balloons-what-are-they/ for more details, from a previous article).

There are also many other IFOs ( Identified Flying Objects they could be as well).

However, as i have said before, i am not sure what value they are to any UFO research.

Large object reported hovering over small Pennsylvania town (examiner.com)

” Five Pennsylvania witnesses reported watching “a large, brightly-lit object hovering over Macungie” that soon disappeared without movement or sound, according to December 17, 2012, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database ” [extract from article].

Officer claims UFO sighting (policeoracle.com)

” West Midlands police said the force was aware of the incident but that ‘the officer had been off-duty on the night in question and he did not report anything officially to the control room’.

UFO expert Nick Pope, who previously investigated alleged alien sightings for the Ministry of Defence, told Birmingham’s Sunday Mercury: ‘This could be the real thing – a UFO in our airspace and military aircraft scrambled to intercept’ ” [extract from article]. I saw a bright-looking object in the sky (iol.co.za)

” One alien spotter known only as Michael posted: “Appearing from behind Lions Head, travelling into the wind, two vapour shapes that resembled trumpets, one behind the other, moved towards Table Mountain. Into a strong head wind the vapour cloud kept its shape, and a bright light appeared briefly moving behind the cloud.”

Many also posted pics on the UfoRSA website.

” French authorities have pleaded with New Age fanatics, sightseers and media crews not to converge on the tiny village some believe will be one of the few places spared when the world supposedly ends on Friday.

Ho, ho, no! Sightings of UFOs in our skies (Petersfield Post)

” The two globes appeared to be carrying out high speed manoeuvres north of Petersfield between 9pm and 10.15pm on consecutive nights over the weekend of Saturday, December 8, said witnesses ” [extract from article].

” ‘It was definitely a conversation starter,” recalls John ”Cooka” Campbell about his post-high school days when a spaceship took pride of place in the backyard of his Canberra share house.

UFOs many times appeared in Vietnam? (Vietnam.net)

” Most recently, an UFO appeared on the sky in the central province of Thanh Hoa. A picture showing a strange flying object was made public. The author of the picture was Le Khac Dat, 19, who lives in Hoang Ha Commune of Hoang Hoa district.

Dat said the picture was taken at about 5 pm of December 9, 2012. Dat did not discover any strange thing when he took picture. However, later, when he reviewed the picture, he discovered an unfamiliar subject on the picture” [extract from article].

UFO seen over safford (Eastern Arizona Courier)

” A strange occurrence happened over Safford on Jan. 27, 1920. A bright object was seen coming out of the south, flying in a northeasterly direction.

People gathered in the streets and called for their friends and neighbors to come and see.

It was a shiny object, barely seen at first. Many thought it was a bird or flock of birds, but it moved in a straight direction, heading right over Downtown Safford.

Strange UFO encounters (Northern Star)

” Australian Close Encounter Research Network principal Mary Rodwell said her recent experience with network Ten’s The Project, on December 4, had left victims of claimed experiences reluctant to talk to the media.

A qualified nurse and counsellor, Mrs Rodwell said after almost 20 years researching UFO encounters she could recall countless times that the stories of people’s encounters were misrepresented in the media.

“ Pope says that with the emergence of new telescopes, which will be 50 times more sensitive and survey the sky 10,000 times faster than any existing telescope, humans will make alien contact with aliens in 2024” [extract from article].

Mysteries, conspiracies: it’s a slow week (taranaki daily news)

” The festive season is a popular time for UFO reports in Taranaki. A week after a Government report on UFOs report was released in December 2010, mystery lights were seen over Hawera, Napier and Christchurch.

Last February, a pre-wedding dinner party sparked a series of UFO sightings in New Plymouth. During a banquet for the bridal party, a series of floating lanterns were sent into the sky – sparking a series of UFO reports. In Hawera 10 months earlier, remote-controlled helicopters, kites with electric wires and Chinese lanterns were among the likely culprits for lights seen over Hawera ” [extract from article].

” Just before the Christmas, a real video was captured from the plane showing a UFO(expected) flying next to the plane. The video was uploaded on YouTube by a man named Mauricio Ruiz on 23rd December 2012 when he left New York about 5:30 pm and flew to Chicago. Soon it became the Internet buzz as anything with UFO spread the most. The questions that arises are still puzzled as is it a hoax, cabin lights or a flying saucer” [extract from article].

Christmas UFO sighted Filmed and Photographed Above Wellington: It’s a f**king chinese lantern (Scoop News)

” Wellington Scoop editor Lindsay Shelton has pointed out that when you listen to the audio someone can be heard saying “Its a f**king Chinese Lantern. You light them up and they go up into the sky”. [Editor’s Note:This would appear to be a satisfactory explanation for the phenomena as reported. However Scoop is temporarily suspending disbelief till we hear back from B.
